National Computational Merit Allocation Scheme

Conditions of Use Policies
USA Export Conditions Under USA export conditions, the systems which exceed 2000 Composite Theoretical Performance cannot be "accessed either physically or computationally by nationals of Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan or Syria". Lead chief investigators and users nominated by them therefore cannot be a national of one of these countries.

Network Access Charges Users are expected to access the facilities via AARNet ("on-net"). Data transfers to or from the facility "on-net" do not incur extra charges. Data transfers to the facility which come in "off-net" incur a charge of about $5.50 per 10**9 bytes. The facilities reserve the right to charge back excess off-net data traffic as a condition of access to the facilities. The AARNet site has a page which can be used to query the off vs on net status of an IP address.
